I barely saw this one in the top of the tree in this jungle clearing! Not a great photo but definately shows the habitat.

Oh my! I thought they were big birds, I now have a sense of their scale! Very well spotted in there Beth.

A great capture Beth, and two lovely pictures of a bird we hardly ever see coming into the Gallery - the last one was 4 years ago!
 
this bird was about 50 feet up in the canopy....luckily we had a guide that spotted him because I would have never seen it!

It is amazing how large and colorful birds can blend in so well. It makes you wonder how many of these jewels in the forest we walk past and never know it. Great spot and picture Beth!!!
