Plumed Whistling Duck (Dendrocygna eytoni)

Went to Serendip Sanctuary yesterday and saw 3 of these hanging about. Was a first for me. There were lots and lots of Magpie Goose, Whistling Kites and birds I hadn't seen before. For once there was lots of water in the lake.

Your new camera is in the hands of an expert. A really beautiful close-up of a duck I have never seen, thanks.

A splendid shot Broc - I would love to get a photo of one of these Ducks. :t: There have been some on the local sewage ponds, but they stay out in the middle, well out of camera range. This is probably the best photo I've seen of this species.
