Praying Mantis & Hummingbird Feeder (mantis religiosa)

This mantis was relocated 4 times, returning each time to hunt hummers at the feeder. I was able each time to relocate him before any damage done.

Thanks for the nice comment, Patrick. It is not waiting for insects. I've since learned that praying mantis make a habit of hanging out on hummingbird feeders to attack the birds when they come to feed. Quite gruesome, really. They pierce it with their front legs, and then consume it. I surely didn't want to see that happen!
 
I should watch my step if I was you as it seems to be eyeing you up now.
