Purple Sand (Calidris maritima)

Going through our Norfolk/Suffolk Coast tour of November last year, I came across a couple of shots of these dull coloured little birds. This is full frame, as there were three of these tame little guys feeding on the seafront at Sheringham. And yes, its wet and windy here in Hastings today.
Habitat
Rocky Coasts
Location
Sheringham, Norfolk
Date taken
November 2007
Scientific name
Calidris maritima
Equipment used
Nikon D70s, Sigma 50-500mm
A great shot of a super little wader. We often get them at Ness Point in Lowestoft, the most easterly place in Britain. They must be tough little birds. Good one Mali.

I wish here they were as tame as yours!!! It is a beautiful portrait, Mali, and full frame, WOW!!! :t: :t: :loveme:
