Purple Sand (Calidris maritima)

Going through our Norfolk/Suffolk Coast tour of November last year, I came across a couple of shots of these dull coloured little birds. This is full frame, as there were three of these tame little guys feeding on the seafront at Sheringham. And yes, its wet and windy here in Hastings today.

Nothing dull about this one,Mali!! More or less the only wader we have over here in wintertime. Wish i had a shot of one. Great photo. :t:
