Love this shot Ian (and the others you’ve recently posted). Technically good and fantastic character portrait. You‘re really good with the olly 150 -400. I struggled with the lens in low light.
 
Thanks Steve. Best lens I’ve used in past 30 years. There is plenty of poor light & claggy air around the Humber! It’s at least as sharp as the brilliant Oly 300 pro & at any length from 150 to 1000.Still superb with the MC14 on it. The purple sand pics were all taken in awful light - up the iso/shutter speed, shoot raw & use software like DXO photolab to process the result. Of course the most important thing is to learn to handhold the big ( for Micro 4/3) lens. Took a few practicing trips out with the beast to learn a good reliable way to hold it/stand/breathe. My first outing produced many soft pics of Sanderling, handheld at 700m - all my fault. Once you’ve put some time in, results in poorer light get magically better-trust me!
