Purple Sandpiper (Calidris maritima)

These birds are on the Beach at North Berwick close to the Seabird Centre a very busy area, but they seem to like it there and can be easily overlooked.

A terrific shot of a super bird. We get a few of them on the granite protection blocks at Lowestoft, on the most easterly point of the country. I must get over there and take another look at them. A great image JT.
 
Super capture, JT. I imagine they're very well camoflagued unless you're actually looking for them.
 
Like these birds JT, sweet shot mate. I had a quick look yesterday for these around the harbour arm, and on a couple of groynes, but no luck.
