Purple Sandpiper (Calidris maritima)

Well Peeps,
Hazel and I took the train from Wroxham out to Sheringham on the North Norfolk coast yesterday. Had a nice walk along the Seafront and found a couple of Purple Sands foraging on the rocks. I managed 40 minutes with these birds, until the tide went out and the beach started to fill with people and their sh*t machines running about all over the place scattering the birds. It wasn't as bright as the picture suggests, and it was the first time I'd ever used ISOs of 1600 & 2000, but I was pleasantly surprised at how the pics turned out.

Lovely detailed shot and setting Mali, many tfs and we are getting a battering here with gale force winds.

A beautiful capture of this pretty wader, Mali! Not a species I've ever been close to.

It's a cracking shot of a cracking bird. Wots a sh*t machine? Whatever it is I know the feeling.
