Purple Sandpiper (Calidris maritima)

Well Peeps,
Hazel and I took the train from Wroxham out to Sheringham on the North Norfolk coast yesterday. Had a nice walk along the Seafront and found a couple of Purple Sands foraging on the rocks. I managed 40 minutes with these birds, until the tide went out and the beach started to fill with people and their sh*t machines running about all over the place scattering the birds. It wasn't as bright as the picture suggests, and it was the first time I'd ever used ISOs of 1600 & 2000, but I was pleasantly surprised at how the pics turned out.

Three fabulous images, Mali ... wonderful narrative ... great work ... tfs ...

A beautiful sandpiper pose and capture on seaweed.
The coastline of Great Britain must be a paradise for seabirds.
Guess many people are really proud that their dogs hunt anything.

I have the same trouble with the motorcycles at Te Awanga beach area, no more bird there. Lovely capture Mali!!

Excellent eye-level view of this Sandpiper. Great lighting showing the feather patterns off nicely while bringing out colors. Amazing picture period, but especially for high ISO Mali!!! Three impressive posts!!!
