Purple-stained Daggerwing (Marpesia marcella valletta: Nymphalidae) Also known as the Pansy Daggerwing. Wingspan 4.4-5.1 cm (1.75-2.0 in).
Habitat
Montane cloud forest, Cordillera de Talamanca, Cerro de la Muerte, 2,731 m (8,960 ft) elevation.
Location
Wingspan 4.4-5.1 cm (1.75-2.0 in). Paraíso Quetzal Lodge, northwest of Parque Nacional Los Quetzales south of route 2 at km 70, San José Province, Costa Rica
