That's a fabulous picture you've taken of this swamphen Jp.... and you've found him in a very pretty setting too.

Purple Swamphen no longer exists LOL as it's now been split into several species. The one found in Indian is called Grey-headed Swamphen Porphyrio poliocephalus. I hope you don't mind but I changed the scientific name in your picture details.
