Purple-throated Fruitcrow (male)
Purple-throated Fruitcrow (Querula purpurata) Male, species sexually dimorphic. The platform was 36 m (118 ft) above the ground in a Kapok tree (Ceiba pentandra: Malvaceae). The top of the tree was actually another 5-10 m (16-33 ft) above the platform. Napo Wildlife Center, Yasuni National Park, Orellna Province, Ecuador. Ecuadorian amazonian rainforest (Rio Napo floodplain) at ca. 200 m (656 ft) elevation.
