Purple-throated Sunangel
Purple-throated Sunangel (Heliangelus viola) Sexes similar but females have a shorter tail. Utuana Reserve, Loja Province, Ecuador. A small hilltop montane cloud forest (evergreen forest) at ca. 2,500 m (8,200 ft) elevation. It is a transitional zone between humid montane cloud forest above and the Tumbesian dry deciduous tropical forest below.
