"On The Waterfront" (Columba livia)

I decided to take a Feral Pigeon Shot that WASN'T on a concrete path or a fencepost... yes, occasionally they DO allow you to get a decent photo in a more 'natural' setting... this one kindly obliged.

Mind you, the water feature is artificial... maybe I shouldn't have said that - spoiled the illusion now eh?

I agree... to me they're still a variation of a 'Rock Dove' - I just titled that in order to 'categorise'... otherwise I reckon we could have 'feral ducks' (Mallard) and probably a hell of a lot of other birds. I just love the numerous variations in colour... in fact - have a look here:
