I was trying to think of a caption for this pic because I knew it reminded me of something! Not sure if everyone has seen Star Wars, but if you have, I think you'll see the resemblance too ;)
This is one of the males that use my Blue Bird boxes to nest with his mate, sitting on a post from my pasture(which gets very flooded in Spring). Luckily I have several boxes so there are enough to share with the Blue Birds, as long as I can keep the blankety blank House Sparrows out of them! (sorry, I know you folks outside N America don't have many, but they are waay too plentiful here & quite the bullies!)
Habitat
Lake shores, flooded meadows, marshes, and streams
Location
my yard-NE Ohio
Date taken
April 2006
Scientific name
Tachycineta bicolor
Equipment used
Kodak easyshare, 6.1 megapix-woohoo;)
