Rail on the Move (Rallus aquaticus)

This bird appeared, walked 20 yard to the feeders, turned round, walked back and disappeared - and it walked pretty quickly. So I had to take a few shots and hope. Maybe one day one will stop and pose for me.
[Yes, it was at the cafe again. Warm and dry birdwatching with caffeine!]

Location
Cotswold Water Park, near Cirencester
Date taken
10 January 2009
Scientific name
Rallus aquaticus

It is so hard to get a good shot of rails. Nice blue feathers, exact opposite of the orange rails we have over here. What is the other animal in the background?

Sorry, I meant to say I think it's a Rat in the background. Some kind of small mammal anyway.
