Rainbow Bee-eater (Merops ornatus)

On a recent holiday to Darwin there were large numbers of these birds around the headland areas of the city. I set myslef up near a perch they were using while hawking for insects and waited. A patch of mangroves about 30 meters behind the bird allowed me to get a smooth back ground.

A fantastic photograph Ian. Very well done. The shot is so well balanced and the colours are great.
Rookery.

This is excellent. Ev's are spot on; clarity is brilliant; colour renditiona and density is pure and deep; head angle and eye contact perfect. Only thing I'd suggest is to add a little more canvas at the top and right side of the image to open it up a bit ;) With that said, I give :t: :t: :t: :t: :t: out of 5 and a  for good measure. cheers B :)
