Excellent photo Hans!They are very pretty birds.

They have become a pest species in the West! All attempts to eradicate them have failed. From a small number of aviary escapees confined to the Cottesloe area 30 years ago,they have grown to be widely distributed in the Perth and hills area.
 
A brilliant close-up of this colorful Rainbow lorikeet. Loved to watch them in my garden in QLD.

You've a super picture of him my friend.... it's nice to know your looong drought seems to have broken; even if you're maybe not getting the amount of rain you really need.
