Rainbow Starfrontlet Immature (Coeligena iris)

The field guides state that the males and females are very similar with bright green from side of head to breast. I believe that makes this bird an immature given that the breast is obviously not only green.

Edit: the Fieldbook shows the female not too dissimilar to this, so I am not entirely sure.

Either way, when it comes into full color it is gonna be one beautiful, little Jewel Niels. Nicely captured guy.

It appears a challenge for this Starfrontlet to sit and drink from a feeder with that long bill (Lol). Superb Niels! TFS!
