This is another older image, taken on Vashon Island, in the Puget Sound Near Seattle. The rain was just pouring down, but this was too good a shot not to take!

A cracker of a picture this Tom. They're gorgeous, aren't they.

I'm hoping might see one this summer on my holidays... though we call them 'divers' here LOL. It's more likely I'll see red or black-throated ones!

Definitely closer than I'm able to get with our loons! This is wonderful even in the rain.
