The red frog is a species of frog in the Ranidae family, common in Europe and northwestern Asia. It lives in humid places, spends much of its adult life on land, and returns to the water only to escape when attacked and to reproduce. It is more nocturnal, coming out at dusk and not being easy to observe both because of its habits and because of its scarcity.
