Red-bellied Woodpecker

Red-bellied Woodpecker (Melanerpes carolinus)

It's not often I find a woodpecker on the birdbath and this was early in the morning magnifying his colors even more. This breed is very colorful but if I ever could get the Pileated Woodpecker this close imagine how great that would be. Oh too, how I wish I had my Red-headed Woodpecker back in my yard.
