a very nice portrait of Quelea quelea.
This species is known to appear in enormous amounts and so causing severe damage to agriculture. Unfortunately therefore they are hunted and destroyed on large scale.

Much more interesting is the variaty in appearance within this species!
Particular the adult breeding males can be very different in their coloration.
An interesting subject to research in my opinion.
