Red Breasted Nuthatch On The Lookout (Sitta canadensis)

He was still as a statue. Several other birds higher up in this tree (other nut hatches, chickadees and Blue Jays) were also. All their heads were pointed in more or less the same direction. An unseen hawk must have been lurking near.
