Red Breasted Nuthatch (Sitta canadensis)

Unfortunately these have become a rare sight here again. In the spring and throughout most of the summer we had a whole family of them here. Then they disappeared and I hadn't seen one for a long time, till this wee one showed up a few days ago. I do my best to see that he/she gets something to eat, because the white breasted nuthatches here try to bully it away.

Nicely captured and framed between the branches Bill!

I like the way you have caught him between the branches, Bill; pretty lighting too.

Good for you Bill! A bird that must be a treat to have around. Excellent picture and setting with the snow on the branches. Fantastic and TFS!!!!
