Red-crowned Woodpecker (Melanerpes rubricapillus)

Last bird from Coiba Island National Park. This woodpecker is very similar to the Red-bellied Woodpeckers we get in the USA! We have been really pleased with the great close-ups we've been getting with the Nikon Coolpix P900. It has a great zoom feature and is nowhere near as heavy as a DSLR with a 400mm lens!
