Red-footed Booby (Sula sula websteri)

Took my birding class out to see this rarity. Identified here yesterday, 8 November by Peter Winch at the Greater Farallon National Marine Sanctuary offices. Appears to be second cycle molting primaries. Thigh feathers and undertail coverts seem bedraggled or wet. Previous specimen records from California refer to the small dark race S. s. websteri of the Eastern tropical pacific.
