Red Kite
Paul - Herts

Red Kite (Milvus milvus)

Arranged a day out to see the Red Kites at Ibstone, one of the areas where they were reintroduced. Sadly, out of all of the days to choose, we chose today - saw plenty of kites but in the most dreadful of lighting. Fog at worst, gloom at best. The only brief glimpse of sun lit up a pair that were a good 400 yards away! Anybody who fancies seeing some in the Ox/Bucks area I would say go for it as they were fantastic to watch - just hope you get better conditions!

Stonking image Paul, just wonder what you would turn up if the conditions were good? If you ever get down this way I will take you to Gigrin....you would like that!!

Sounds like a great day was had, despite the gloomy conditions, Paul!....Nicely taken picture of a beautiful bird.
