Hi KC it was one of about 120 lifers I got in two weeks but I believe this was the rarest Goa bird we saw

As for those red spots on the American Coots' shields, I don't know what evolutionary purpose they serve, unless perhaps to attract mates ...?

Lol, not double where this Ibis got its name! That nape sure stands out. Excellent work Mike!
