Red-shouldered Hawk Banding

4 Red-Shouldered Hawks were banded by a team from Raptors, Inc. The chicks ranged in age from 20-28 days and weighed in at 20-24 ounces. The nest was located in a suburban cemetery and the adults and chicks seemed comfortable with the daily traffic. A Great-horned Owl had occupied the nest the previous year.
