Red Tail Hawk
The first day on my birding trip was at Huntington Beach State Park and I met some ladies telling me about this huge bird at Brookgreen Garden. Well I did get my Painted Buntings KC they are there at Huntington Beach but the funny thing was I did get a picture of this big bird the ladies were telling me about. Turned out it is a Red Tail Hawk and it's prettier than the Red Shoulder Hawk. It's striking like something you see on National Geographic.

I am glad too KC. You should go but Robert said they will be there til fall. I located the painting buntings at the bird station when you make your first left. Thank you for your kind remarks. One day we will meet each other birding I hope.

Spectacular close-up of this gorgeous specimen Daniel. Love the setting perched on the resurrection fern. Top-marks!
