Red-tail
Norway has I think 34 species of bumblebees, some of them with several sub-species. I got photos of four or five of the most common ones this summer. Here, for instance, is a Red-tail.

I noticed I've also got a second theme going today - pink and green. I recall my mother having a dilemma once back when I was a teenager. One of her colleagues where she taught school was getting married, so Mom checked the gift register at our local kitchenware shop ... and really didn't share the bride's taste. She was going for chinaware that was covered with pink roses, which wasn't in my Mom's tastes at all. And as Mom explained to me at the time, one should if possible give gifts one also liked oneself. So Mom tried various options around the store and finally settled on some apple green place mats that she thought freshened up all that sticky-sweet candy pink. So whaddya think? Does apple green look refreshing with pink?

I have chuckled at your story about your mum! Quite right too! And yes, apple green and pink go well together!

Another lovely bee study, Ann.
