Red-tailed Hawk (Buteo jamaicensis) juvenile.

I thank everyone for their concern about our well being during the winter crises in Texas. Outside of being worried and on edge everyday and night we have so far remained with power and potable water. We ventured out yesterday to pick up a few necessities from the grocery store which was the first time in 6 days that we had been out. It seems as if the large cities (except El Paso) has been the hardest hit. Your concerns are much appreciated!

Wasn't aware until I read your comment about the severe winter conditions, Stanley (didn't hear about it on the French television). Looking on the web now, I realise how serious it is. Glad to hear that you are doing well, keep safe!
