Red-vented Bulbul (Pycnonotus cafer)

One of the most seen birds in the wild and also in urban areas out here. The red-vented bulbul is a member of the bulbul family of passerines. It is resident breeder across the Indian subcontinent, including Sri Lanka extending east to Burma and parts of Tibet.

they appear here as an escape, some of them breed with our local yellow vented bulbuls and produce ones with similar tails and a orange vent.
