Red-winged Black Bird

I used to get these nesting around my pond in the cattails every Spring, always found them a bit annoying, but after cutting the cattails down b/c they were so overgrown, I noticed last Spring that I wasn't hearing their calls, & realized how much I missed them singing their little hearts out! (i will be letting the cattails grow again, Springtime just isn't the same)
