Redwing. (A double first)

Have had a flock of up to about 500 of these in the area , but they have never landed close enough for a pic. Got everything wrong. first it took me by surprise as it was a singleton, I was exposing for snow and got too excited and forgot to alter the settings, but as its a "first for me and the wood" decided to put it in my Gallery!! Brenda said wait for a better one but whose to say it will drop in again. Ken

o:) Love it, Ken, looks like being very interested in the white stuff!!! :-O I think it's a great "firstie", I wish all mine were like this!!! Very well done in your chance!!! :t: :t:

Congrats on another newbie at Oak Wood, one of my fave birds mate, nice shot too Ken, and when you get a better one (which I'm sure you will do) post that un too my friend.

Not like you to lose your composure Ken,but you've still managed to nail this beauty mate.I'm really pleased you've got yourself yet another first for the wood, congratulations.

I don't know what you are worried about Ken. It looks great to me. Congratulations on your first. They are super birds but have a knack of blending into the background so you can't spot them. This is a super image. I love the markings, especially the stripes on the head. Very nice Ken.

A super shot Ken, lots of detail on your Redwing. Lovely bright colours too - they are super little birds.

Congrats on your first Cuddles, it's a lovely shot and a very beautiful birdo:D
Another wonderful addition to the wood:t:eek::)
