Redwing
Another of the more unusual early March visitors to the garden.

I had a job to choose which image to upload, as 'continuous' gives me so many images LOL. But eventually chose this one, as I'm sure he's calling (couldn't hear, the window was shut). His bill is open and the red blob looks like his tongue. He'd not stopped to get any berries LOL.

Hi Delia a fine upload tfs ( I have been in hospital for a week so just back at home and catching up will make a post in the morning)

Nicely timed, and a lovely bird and a great shot! Well done DT!
Re my silhouette hummer shot. I was walking in my yard, camera in hand, happened to look up and there it was, perfectly framed. How could I not take that photo? Thanks for the kind words.

He seems to be in display posture as well, so I think you're right. A lovely shot, this, Delia. And a welcome sight. I haven't seen any yet this year, although I have been several times to the spots where I've seen them before in Trondheim.

Awww... shame we missed each other Delia, it would have been great to meet you!
Hope you had a dry day for your visit to the Treshnish Isles, we had a mixed week but thankfully a lovely day for the boat trip, and yes we had Dolphins escorting us on the outward journey, it was a wonderful experience, even better in some ways than the Farnes

A super Redwing post from you today well done, We get then in our Holly trees in the winter but they are very camera shy, so I've not managed a decent shot of them (yet!)
