Reed bunting eyeing me up
Reed bunting on a tree near one of the hides at East Chevington Nature Reserve, Druridge Bay.

There were a group of these bunting squabbling and flapping about near the hide. I enjoyed watching them for a while and then got down to trying to capture images. I wanted a flight take-off shot, but they're so incredibly fast I missed it every time. Never mind!

The lighting was very tricky to get the bird well enough lit. Unfortunately the background sky has washed out because of this, but this image was one of my favourites anyway.
