Reed Bunting male (Emberiza schoeniclus)

Another treat for me was to see so many Reed Buntings up close. They'r usually rather distant specks on top of a reed on the far side of a loch LOL.

I've never seen them at feeders here, I suppose because I don't know any reserves where they have them!! It's a few years since I got a decent picture of one I think.

There does seem to be a really healthy population of them at Sculthorpe.
