Cashie

Reed Bunting (Emberiza schoeniclus)

This is the only shot I got yesterday, there was nothing else about.
Habitat
Woodland/Lakes
Location
Hose hill reserve, Theale, Berkshire.
Date taken
17.02.09
Scientific name
Emberiza schoeniclus
Equipment used
Canon 30D + 400 5.6L
It isalways nice to see a Reed Bunting, nicely taken. It was a gloomy old day too yesterday so well done.

I've taken an awful lot of sub-standard Reed Bunting pics but this is one is pretty good.

I never think of seeing Reed Buntings at feeding stations. I am used to seeing them in the reeds or amongst trees. Or, more often, not seeing them at all! A very nice shot Cashie.
