Reed Bunting (Emberiza schoeniclus)

Walked a little way from the village and ended up along a drove. Seemingly, not much about so we walked to a small clump of trees. Saw this one - a long way from water, followed by a very distant yellow wagtail, a whitethroat and a yellowhammer. Watch this space.....
Going 'wild' rather than just snapping from the garden made me realise how much I (and others) will have missed this summer so far.

Well that surely was well worth the walk Colin!

You've ended with a right lovely bird in a pretty setting and ooooh I'm jealous of the waggie... we don't get them round here.

A super picture this my friend. Very well done.
