Thanks all for the kind comments. I know they arent the most exotic of birds but I have always had a soft spot for them. I remember seeing them as young kid when fishing. At the time I didnt know what they were but will always remember the distinct black and white heads and the way the somehow miraculously seem to hang on to a flimsy Reed in high winds.
