Regal Jumping Spider (Phidippus regius: Salticidae) This the largest of the NA jumping spiders ranging from 6-18 mm (0.24-0.71 in) long and are quite variable in coloration. This brave little chap is ready to take me on (lol). Photographed at Lick Creek Park, College Station, Brazos County, Texas, USA. Post Oak Savannah Vegetational Area. Oak/yaupon/farkelberry dominated sand hill at ca. 100 m (333 ft) elevation.
