Regent Bowerbird (Sericulus chrysocephalus)

I looked for this bird for 5 days and finally I gave up at dusk and decided to drive back to my caravan . I had not travelled 200 metres when this bird popped out and sat on a roadside branch.I jumped out of the car almost before it had stopped and managed a couple of photos before it disappeared into the undergrowth again.

Gosh Mike!! What a wonderful co-incidence - you did well to spot him I think.

You sure made the most of the opportunity he gave you too - such beauty and great poses.

Many thanks for sharing these pictures - it's wonderful to see you posting again!
I am glad he rewarded your patience, Mike. What a stunning bird.
