Resting (Larus canis)

Perhaps resting up for migration. Most of our Mew Gulls leave us for warmer areas in winter. In fact, most of our gulls leave, I've been told. But then some gulls (Herring and Great Black-backs) also migrate in for winter from even colder areas further north.

I guess the temperature is relative, isn't it... gulls and their behaviour are a bit of a mystery to me LOL

That's a super picture you've got of this 'commoner' Ann - well done lass.
