Very abundant in the Pyrnes and Alps,in the subalpine zone.

I can almost imagine hummingbirds feeding and flitting from flower to flower of these pretty bushes. (i wish;))

Yes,a mountain slope covered with flowering rhodos in early july is a marvellous spectacle!...unfortunately,that day,the sky was cloudy and the light rather bad :C
