You used the scientific name of Rallus ridgwayi but, having checked on Avibase, I can't find this name in use. I'll continue to research this, but at the moment I've used Rallus obsolutus for the main scientific name.

Having drawn a blank myself on this (your picture did come up in a Google Search though LOL), I took it to the Opus Editors to see if they had any more information.
Niels (@njlarsen) said "I cannot even see any subspecies before or after the split containing any latinized version of Ridgway."
Do you have any sources for this that I can pass on to them to look at - as you will maybe realise I wouldn't know one of these if it bit me on the.....er.... nose!! Let alone any of the taxonomy.
