Ring-necked Parakeet (Psittacula krameri) (Psittacula krameri)

This pair has a nest hole in a dead tree close by, one they have used for a number of years now. These birds are becoming more numerous in Lancashire as is all the three Egret species. Birders in Northern England would have been crying out to see some of the once rare birds a decade or so ago, like the spoonbill which can be found in most years now. A sure sign of climate change I would say.
