Ringlet - Aphantopus hyperantus (Aphantopus hyperantus)

It took a while to not only follow one that landed but that actually landed where I could get a shot as most were choosing deep undergrowth to pitch on !

I had never noticed before how the 'eye' ring markings on the underside of the wings were in three groups of three until now either !

That is pretty cool how the eyelets are in threes. Beautiful picture of this gem of a butterfly. Excellent work John!
