Roadrunner, avoiding the roads! (Geococcyx californianus)

I have seen literally hundreds of roadrunners driving around these Mexican back roads, and still feel that I have not gotten "That One" image...this one is pretty close. I was sitting on a water hole, way out in the La Paz desert, shooting Xanthus's Hummingbirds when this Roadrunner jumped up there and started preening.

Ha! Don't think I've ever seen an image with a Roadrunner perched like this. Nice going and beautifully captured Tom.
